Sitting between Geoffrey Bay and Alma Bay, Arcadia Village Hotel is one of those classic Maggie pubs where there’s almost always something happening. It’s a local watering hole, family dinner spot, live music venue and easy post beach stop all rolled into one.

The weekly calendar is packed. There’s Parmi Night, Steak Night, the world famous Cane Toad Races, trivia, member draws, karaoke, live music and sport, plus Sunday roast and bingo. The Cane Toad Races are a Magnetic Island institution in their own right and raise money for the Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club.

Food is covered by the bistro and Bikini Tree Cafe, with the bar open seven days a week. Around the rest of the hotel you’ll find swimming pools, a kids room, pool tables, gaming, Keno and TAB, function spaces and Arcadia’s bottle shop. It’s an easy one for families because there’s plenty happening beyond sitting around a table.

The location is hard to beat too. Geoffrey Bay and its snorkel trail are across the road, Alma Bay is a short wander away, the bus stops nearby and the rock wallabies are practically neighbours. If you don’t want to go far at the end of the night, Arcadia Village Motel sits right alongside the hotel overlooking Geoffrey Bay.

WHAT WE LOVE

There’s Always Something On: Parmi and steak nights, trivia, karaoke, live music, sport, Sunday bingo and more. You could visit several nights in the same week and have a completely different night out.

The Famous Cane Toad Races: Weird, wonderful and very Maggie. Wednesday night’s Cane Toad Races have become an island institution, with the fun also helping support the local Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club.

A Proper Family Friendly Pub: Pools, a kids room, food, live entertainment and plenty of space make this an easy pub choice when you’ve got the whole family in tow.

Stay Right Next Door: Arcadia Village Motel sits alongside the hotel overlooking Geoffrey Bay, so dinner, drinks and entertainment can all be within a very short walk of your room.
