There's something pretty hard to beat about a freshly made woodfired pizza on a warm Maggie evening, especially when you can enjoy it under the palms or take it down to the beach.

Ric's Woodfire Pizza brings a little taste of Italy to Magnetic Island, serving up authentic Italian-style pizzas with thin, light bases, fresh toppings and that unmistakable flavour that comes from a woodfired oven. It's simple, good food made with care, and the friendly team make the experience just as enjoyable as the pizza itself.

You'll find Ric's tucked into the tropical courtyard at Jungle Club in Nelly Bay, where you can settle in amongst the greenery for a relaxed dinner. It's a lovely little spot, away from the busier beachfront restaurants, with outdoor seating, a laid-back atmosphere and the option to BYO your favourite drink. Of course, takeaway is always an option too.

On Sundays, Ric's also fires up the oven at Bounce Magnetic Island in Horseshoe Bay. Grab a pizza and enjoy the atmosphere at Bounce, or wander down to Horseshoe Bay Beach and find yourself a spot on the sand as the sun goes down. Woodfired pizza, salty air and a Maggie sunset. That's a pretty good way to finish a day on Maggie.

Sunday Sunset Pizza: We love that you can grab Ric's at Bounce in Horseshoe Bay on Sundays. Our pick is to take your pizza down to the beachfront and enjoy it as the sun sets over the bay.
