Jungle Club Magnetic Island
Jungle Club is one of those places that’s hard to put into a single category. Tucked behind the palms on Sooning Street in Nelly Bay, it’s part coffee spot, part shopping destination, part creative hub, part wellness space and part tropical hangout, all brought together by a collective of local Magnetic Island businesses and creatives.
Start with Tiny Palm Coffee, pouring seven days a week with quality coffee and locally sourced breakfast bites. Grab a seat among the tropical gardens, find a shady spot by the pool, or have a wander through the rest of Jungle Club while you’re there.
For a little island shopping, Cora Island Wear brings together tropical, island inspired clothing and accessories, while Terra & Tide is filled with sustainable coastal homewares, lifestyle pieces and thoughtful gifts. Then there are the resident creative studios, including local artists Hannah Aiello and Dy Rogers, putting local art and the people who make it right at the heart of the space.
Need some time for yourself? Be.Seen Beauty offers skin, body and brow treatments, while Performance Physio Grouptakes care of physio and rehabilitation. If you’re mixing a little work into your island stay, Jungle Club Coworking has air conditioning, high speed satellite internet, meeting rooms and private office options, plus day passes and memberships. And yes, pool access is included.
Then there’s Ric’s Woodfire Pizza, firing up authentic woodfired pizzas under the palms with dine in and takeaway options. Jungle Club also regularly hosts markets, creative workshops, coworking events and other happenings, so it’s worth checking what’s on while you’re here.
What we love most is that it doesn’t feel like a collection of separate businesses. Coffee, art, shopping, wellness, coworking, pizza, and workshops somehow all work together here. Jungle Club feels like a little snapshot of Maggie’s creative community, and somewhere you can easily stay much longer than you planned.
WHAT WE LOVE
The Tropical Garden Oasis: Step off Sooning Street and into a completely different little world. Tropical gardens, shady sitting nooks, a breezy courtyard, deck chairs and that bright blue pool make it dangerously easy to stay longer than planned.
Slow Island Style: Between Cora’s island inspired pieces and Terra & Tide’s coastal homewares and gifts, there’s plenty worth taking home. Thoughtful, beautiful finds that actually remind you of Maggie. No fridge magnets here, thanks.
Creativity Lives Here: Browse local artists in their own studios, have a chat and maybe even catch them creating. Jungle Club also hosts workshops and events throughout the year, from block printing and mosaics to watercolours and more, so check what’s happening while you’re here.
