There aren’t too many places where you can tuck into a big burger with the Coral Sea right in front of you, but Island Burger has the location well and truly sorted. Sitting beachfront at Nomads Magnetic Island, it’s relaxed, casual and made for long lunches, easy dinners and something cold from the bar while you soak up the view.

Burgers are obviously the main event, with everything from big, indulgent classics to flavour packed vegetarian and plant based options, plus sides and a dedicated breakfast menu in the mornings. Island Burger is open seven days, serving breakfast before kicking off again for lunch and dinner.

But there’s more to this place than burgers. The Island Burger Project has become a pretty special part of the Magnetic Island community. Each month, Island Burger works with a local non profit to create a special burger, with money from every one sold donated back to the organisation. Since beginning in 2020, the project has supported local wildlife carers, the island school, emergency services, sporting clubs and other community organisations.

And when a burger calls for a cold drink, The Island Bar is right there. Grab a tap beer or cocktail, find a spot overlooking the water and settle in. This is barefoot island dining done properly.

Burgers That Give Back: The Island Burger Project is one of the things we really love about these guys. Their monthly fundraising burgers support local non profits, from wildlife carers and the island school to sporting clubs, emergency services and community groups.

Everyone Gets a Burger: Meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans and gluten free diners are all catered for, so nobody has to settle for the sad alternative on the menu. Add breakfast in the morning and The Island Bar next door for cocktails and cold beers, and they’ve got most cravings covered.
