Island Leisure Resort
Tucked into tropical gardens in Nelly Bay, Island Leisure Resort is a small, relaxed resort with only 18 Polynesian style burés and plenty of space to settle into island time. It’s around 50 metres from the beach, with shops, cafes and restaurants within easy reach and the island bus stopping right outside.
The self contained burés cater for singles, couples and families, with air conditioning, kitchen facilities and private outdoor spaces making them particularly handy for longer stays or anyone who likes the option of doing their own thing.
Around the resort, there’s plenty to keep you occupied between island adventures. The lagoon style pool comes complete with a spa and its own sandy beach area, while poolside BBQs, a full sized tennis court, games room and giant chess give families plenty of options without leaving the property.
Accessibility has also been properly considered. The resort is wheelchair accessible, with two burés designed to meet current disability access standards, making Island Leisure a useful option for travellers looking for more accessible accommodation on Maggie.
