Tucked into Picnic Bay’s SeaSalt Arcade, just metres from the beachfront, Maggie Island Brewery is our little island brewery pouring beers made right here on Maggie.
It’s a true nano brewery, with beers brewed on site and a core range that moves from easy drinking lagers and pilsners through to XPA, IPA and stout, plus seasonal brews that give regulars something new to try. If choosing one sounds too difficult, grab a tasting paddle and work your way through a few.
Not a beer drinker? You’re still well looked after, with wine, locally sourced spirits, cocktails, cider and non alcoholic options behind the bar.
The shaded, dog friendly beer garden is made for settling in, particularly when there’s live music on and nowhere else you need to be. Being part of SeaSalt Arcade also puts plenty of food within reach. Grab something to eat nearby, order from Mamma Roma and have it delivered to the brewery, or make a wander around the arcade part of the afternoon.
Drop in after a swim at Picnic Bay, stay for a tasting paddle and some food, then wander down to the jetty as the afternoon cools off. Locally brewed beer, good food nearby and nowhere to rush off to. Very Maggie.

Actually Brewed on Maggie: This isn't simply a taproom with an island name. The beer is brewed right here in Picnic Bay, with a core range and rotating seasonal brews giving you plenty to work your way through.

The Picnic Bay Beer Garden: Shady tables, live music, cold beer and dogs welcome. Add food from around SeaSalt Arcade and the beach and historic jetty just down the road, and you've got the makings of a very easy Picnic Bay afternoon.
