Directly across from the Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal, Cornetts IGA Magnetic Island is the island’s largest supermarket and one of the easiest places to stock up as soon as you arrive.
There’s a full supermarket range covering fresh fruit and vegetables, pantry staples, dairy, frozen foods, drinks, snacks and household essentials, along with an in-house butcher and well-stocked deli. Whether you’re filling the fridge for a week, putting together a beach picnic or grabbing a few essentials before heading to your accommodation, you’ll find pretty much everything you need in one stop.
The deli is particularly handy for easy holiday meals, with BBQ chickens and ready-to-eat options when cooking isn’t on the agenda. There are also fresh flowers available in store.
Location is a big advantage here. Step off the ferry and IGA is directly across the road, with the bus terminal, car hire businesses, Bottle-O and other Nelly Bay services all close by. If you’ve arrived without a car, it’s an easy place to grab your supplies before jumping on the bus to your accommodation.
It’s also open seven days a week and into the evening, which is particularly useful if you’re arriving on a later ferry.
