If you’re after a getaway that’s all about kicking back and leaving the daily grind behind, The Little Beach Shacks are just the ticket. Tucked away in the heart of Horseshoe Bay, they’re only a short stroll from the beachfront, shops, cafes, restaurants, a charming swimming enclosure, and a lively playground.

True to their name, The Little Beach Shacks have old-school beach charm, no frills, just simple, relaxed stays. The two shacks, Sava Shack and Sunshine Shack, each offer their own independent space in a private duplex.

Sava Shack has one queen bed and two singles, with a kitchen that covers all the essentials: fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery. Outside, the patio comes with a gas stove, BBQ, and a comfy sitting area, perfect for cooking up a meal while soaking in the quiet surroundings.

Sunshine Shack has two queen beds and a simple but well-equipped kitchen. Its outdoor patio features a Weber BBQ, making it ideal for laid-back afternoons after a day exploring the island.

Set at the base of a National Park walking track, The Little Beach Shacks are a gateway to secluded beaches that are only accessible on foot or by adventurous watercraft. If you’re dreaming of a nostalgic, relaxed retreat with plenty of beach vibes, this is the place to be.

WHAT WE LOVE

Sava Shack: The bigger of the two, with two queen bedrooms for up to four guests, private gardens and an outdoor patio where the cooking happens, complete with a gas stove and BBQ. It’s simple, old school island living, exactly as a beach shack should be.

Sunshine Shack: A cosy original beach shack with its own personality, set up as an easy retreat close to Horseshoe Bay. It has that nostalgic Maggie feel rather than trying to be a polished resort stay.

Two Shacks, One Holiday: Sava and Sunshine are a duplex but completely private from each other. Book one for your own escape, or book both if you’re travelling together and want to stay close while still having your own space.

Two Minutes to Horseshoe Bay: The beachfront, cafes, restaurants, playground and walking tracks are around 300 metres away, including tracks leading towards some of the quieter bays beyond Horseshoe Bay.
