Tucked inside Lava Lava in Picnic Bay’s Seasalt Arcade, Juniper and Company is one of those little shops where popping in for a quick look rarely goes to plan. It’s our go to for thoughtful gifts, beautiful homewares and those completely unnecessary but absolutely coming home with us finds.
The collection is wonderfully eclectic. You’ll find art and homewares, natural skincare, candles and incense, jewellery and accessories, books, pieces for little ones and plenty of beautiful things for beach and island living. There are familiar Australian names mixed with smaller makers and artists, including pieces inspired by Magnetic Island itself.
It’s also become a bit of a local lifesaver when a birthday sneaks up on you. There’s something for the person who loves their home, the beach lover, the hard to buy for friend, the kids and, inevitably, yourself. Islanders have well and truly claimed it as one of their go to gifting spots.
And the location makes browsing even better. Order a coffee or breakfast from Lava Lava, have a wander through Juniper while you wait, then take your haul and head across to Picnic Bay Beach or down towards the jetty.
