Good food, good drinks and good times pretty much sums up Restaurant Elsie. Tucked into the Sea Salt Arcade in Picnic Bay, Elsie is a casual neighbourhood restaurant and local meeting place serving modern Australian food without making things overly complicated.
The menu is seasonal and designed for sharing, with an ever changing blackboard of special plates giving you a good reason to come back and see what’s new. The focus is on quality cooking and feel good food, whether you’re stopping in after a day at the beach or settling in for dinner with friends.
Drinks get just as much attention, with a mostly Australian wine list, carefully selected craft beers and a considered cocktail menu. Order a few plates for the table, pick something good to drink and settle in for the evening.
Elsie also hosts special dining events and pop ups throughout the year, bringing guest chefs, set menus and wine dinners into the mix. It’s the kind of little neighbourhood restaurant that fits Picnic Bay perfectly.
